In 2018 Dr. Cam and his family started Mason Gives, a non-profit organization to help “Improve the oral health of children in impoverished areas around the world.” Many people in the community lovingly call our office “The Moose Dentist” but most people don’t know our fun moose mascot has a name. Several years ago one of our little patients suggested the name Mason for our moose. It stuck! Ever since, our moose has been called Mason the Moose.
With the goal of creating familiarity between our offices and the new non-profit organization Dr. Cam and his family decided on the name Mason Gives. Mason has been in parades, participated in assemblies at elementary schools, joined our offices at Safe Kids Fairs and shows up at all of the patient appreciation parties. But we wanted our patients to know that our office and our mascot, Mason the Moose, do so much more.
Mason Gives provides dental care to children in rural Guatemala. We provide oral hygiene kits, education about preventing cavities and dental treatment to these children. Mountain View Pediatric Dentistry supports Mason Gives by donating funds, toothbrushes, toothpaste and floss. We also support Mason Gives by sending our doctors and assistants to Guatemala to help during dental humanitarian missions sponsored by Mason Gives.
Dr. Cam and his family lived in Guatemala for much of 2018 and 2019 providing free dental care to children in rural Guatemala. Be a part of the Mason Gives team by donating, sharing our posts on social media or joining us on one of our upcoming humanitarian trips in Guatemala. Do Good…It Feels Good!
