Meet Dr. Cam – A Pediatric Dentist Who Treats Every Child Like His Own
Dr. Cam is a Utah native who understands families, kids, and the importance of creating positive experiences at the dentist. He grew up in Ogden, Utah, graduating from Ben Lomond High School and Weber State University. While at Weber State, Dr. Cam played football for the Wildcats, an experience that taught him teamwork, discipline, and perseverance—qualities that continue to guide the way he cares for his patients today.
After college, Dr. Cam played professional football with the Baltimore Ravens, Jacksonville Jaguars, and NFL Europe. When a neck injury ended his football career, he turned his focus toward a lifelong goal of helping others through dentistry. He attended the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and served as student body president.
Originally planning to become an oral surgeon, Dr. Cam discovered his true passion while working with children in VCU’s pediatric dental clinic. He found that helping kids feel safe, comfortable, and confident at the dentist was both challenging and deeply rewarding. That experience inspired him to specialize in pediatric dentistry.
Dr. Cam completed a two-year pediatric dentistry residency at Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, where he received advanced training in behavior management, sedation, and treatment planning for infants, children, and teens—including those with anxiety or special healthcare needs.
What truly sets Dr. Cam apart is his empathy. As a child, he didn’t enjoy going to the dentist, so he made it his mission to create a different experience for today’s kids—one built on trust, patience, and kindness. With every child he treats, Dr. Cam asks himself, “What would I do if this were my child?” That guiding question ensures each patient receives thoughtful, individualized care and the highest standard of treatment.
Dr. Cam is a proud husband and father of four—two daughters and two sons—so he understands firsthand the concerns parents have about their children’s health and well-being. Outside the office, he enjoys traveling, mountain biking, snow skiing, and staying active with his family.
In 2017, Dr. Cam and his wife founded Mason Gives, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing free dental care to children and adults in Guatemala. Through dental missions, youth leadership programs, and family service trips, Dr. Cam continues his commitment to caring for children—both at home and around the world.
For Dr. Cam, pediatric dentistry isn’t just a profession—it’s a calling. His goal is simple: to help every child feel comfortable, cared for, and confident in their smile, now and for years to come.
